Our achievements

  • In the year 2000 we have successfully solved the first case of human trafficking with the help of department of CID Bihar and National Human Rights Commission and repatriated a minor girl in her home town Buniyad village of Nepal.
  • In the year 2001 we have contributed in establishing a National level network named ATSEC(Action against trafficking and sexual exploitation of children). We are trying to combat trafficking nationally and internationally through this network.
  • In the year 2002 we supported the Muzaffarpur Police in rescue of the trafficked victims from brothel (Muzaffarpur) and taken the intiative for the implementation of ITPA (Immoral trafficked prevention act) in Bihar.
  • In the year 2002 only we got ITPA successfully implemented through CJM Muzaffarpur through a historic judgment, which changed the status of trafficked women & children from accused to victim.
  • In the year 2002 we started a the first rehabilitation home of Bihar for the rescued women & children according to the order of Honorable CJM court Muzaffarpur, through our organizaton.
  • Since the year 2003 we are regularly organizing awareness generation compaigns in the places life Railway station, Bus stop in the association with ATSEC and other agencies life UNIFEM and UNODC.
  • In the year 2004 we opened a vigilance cell at bairgania block of Sitamarhi to stop human trafficking from or to Nepal, under the guidance of ATSEC. There we use to sensitize SSB(Seema Suraksha Bal) and local police etc. regarding the above issue.
  • In the year 2005 we started a helpline in the named of "Women line" at Patna Railway station, platform no-1, to rescue trafficked victims in association with GRP and RPF(Rail police) supported by UNIFEM. After 2 years we had to stop this service due to unavailablity of space at Patna junction.
  • In the year 2006 we played a very vital role in making of a complete rehabilitation policy for the victims of trafficking by state Govt. Bihar through legal intervention. As a result of above advocacy a rehabilitation policy was made in the name of "Ashtitva".
  • In the year 2007 seeing the need of NGOS in rescue operation, a cell had been constituted by state Govt. named AHTU(Anti human trafficking unit) in many distt. of Bihar. The responsibility of Patna distt.AHTU had been given our organization.
  • In the year 2008 we started a Drop-in-centre in the name of "Prayas Ummid". Through this center we provide 24 hours immediate and emergency service to women & children in difficult circumstances, while doing this we have realized the power of a saying - "stitch in time saves nine".
  • In the year 2009 we started advocacy to reduce vulnerability of new borns who were in dangers of being trafficked in the name of adoption. Many a times we found police handing over a new born to any family without investigating the real status, reason of adoption of the adopting parents, mostly not because of any wrong intension but out of ignorance of law.
  • In the year 2010 we started working more seriously for Foster care and adoption as new method of rehabilitation. We are satisfied that we have rehabilated more than 20 children through Foster care and adoption as per the guidance of child welfare committee Patna and honorable court.
  • In the year 2011 we solemnized the marriage of our 6th daughter (survivor of trafficking) daughter in the presence of dignitaries including honorable justice and minister social welfare "Kanyadaan" ritual was done by the minister of social welfare, it is important to mention that all the six marriages are successful.
  • In the year 2012 we got and opportunity to replicate our rehabilitation process in Govt. rehabilitation home in Patna, under the guidance of social welfare department. Through this we are able to help in the rehabilitation process of victims of different forms of trafficking like - child labor, Domestic violence, begging etc.
  • In the year 2013, we have started a school for trafficked victims (girls) on 13th annniversary of our rehabilitation centre. It was inaugurated by our honorable social welfare minister MS Praveen Amanullah on 09-09-2013. Around 45 girls (trafficked victim) are studying in the school named "Anokhi Pathshala".
  • In the Year 2014 - 'Prayas Navjeevan'- we started a home for new born and advocacy to reduce vulnerability of new born who were in dangers of being trafficked in the name of adoption.
  • In the Year 2015 - 'AAHAR 7 to 7' - An innovative & successful experiment towards economic & social estability of survivors.
  • In the Year 2015 - we are successfully implementing of personnel / staff recruitment, monitoring and management at Govt. home Nishan balika grih.
  • In the Year 2015- inauguration of first baby cradle point in Patna in August 2015
  • Trafficking and other atrocities leads to mental illness and abnormally - based on our experience of 13 years of rehabilitation we are able to say the above statement. We have treated 121 mental patients with the help of psychiatry department of P.M.C.H and other psychiatrists.
  • We have been provided the license for "Fit institution" by the state Govt.
  • Our organization is member of state level and distt. level Anti human trafficking committee.
  • Since 2000 we have played an important role in the rehabilitation of the survivors(victim) of human trafficking. Till now we have rehabilitated more than 900 survivors with their families with the help of sensitive community people.
  • At present 50 victims of trafficking and vulnerable to trafficking including children, women & mental patients, are residing in our organization(Patna & Sadisopur).
